Medical Marijuana for Dummies The beginningMy name is Rebel Dawg and I grow medical marijuana legally in my home. Medical marijuana has become legal in 13 states throughout the U.S. and in many other countries around the world and still more states and countries are in the process of developing medical marijuana laws to protect the patient. This is a great and wonderful thing as marijuana is one of the most useful plants on planet earth and has been used by man for medicine for over 5000 years. It has hundreds of legitimate uses, is non addictive, and does not have any dangerous long term side effects. Each state has written their laws differently (we will take an in depth look at each state later on), some like California have created Medical Dispensaries which are the equivalent of a pharmacy. Patients are able to go into a safe environment and choose the strain of marijuana that they feel will serve them best and take it home to consume via smoking, eating or vaporizing. Most states however have not put a legal method of distribution into play therefore leaving the medical patient in a position where the only way for them to obtain their medication is to either grow it themselves or obtain the weed from a illegal dealer thus being subjected to the criminal element. Can you imagine a little 85 year old woman walking into an alley in the hood to buy some weed? Or how about a 40 year old man that is crippled from MS taking his wheelchair down to the boardwalk to try and score some weed from the local slingers? How about the 19 year old woman who is beautiful, smart, ambitious, but has severe muscle spasm and the only person that she knows who sells the marijuana that she needs and has been prescribed from a doctor is to go down to where all the towns illegal action takes place and then she is raped by the very gangster that she was scoring from. How about the 17 year old AIDS patient that buys some smoke on the street that turns out to be laced with methamphatime and as a result becomes a addict. A person who has been prescribed some other medication only needs to go down to the local pharmacy, purchase their meds and go home. Can you imagine having a prescription for Prozac but they don't sell it in the pharmacy so you have to go and buy it downtown from the local hoods? Would you do this? You would if you had no other choice and that was the correct medication that you needed to survive in life. This scenario happens daily in the life of a medical marijuana patients, the law subjects perfectly normal people who have a legitimate medical need for marijuana to a criminal element that the lawyers who drafted these laws would not be seen with in a broad daylight much less a dark alley. And yet, the lawmakers of our land knowing all of this have chosen to force us to use the black market system to obtain our medication. Shame on them !!!! There is another answer but many reject it off the top as it seems to difficult, costly, and often fails due to inexperience and a lack of patience and knowledge. Grow it yourself !!!
